I am an official member of the Red Hat Society. I joined the Red Hat Bay Beauties in Tampa Bay, Florida in 2004 and now serve my Queen and Chapter Sisters as the 2nd Vice Queen. Most of us still work so we generally meet on the weekend for lunch or other outing. I always look forward to every event. Especially dressing and putting on the “hat”. We can be very casual for a cruise or pool party and we can dress up for the Theater or High Tea. Each event offers us an opportunity to “change our look” and sometimes attitude. No matter what we do we always go home satisfied from having a great time and good companionship. If you want to know more about our chapter follow the link to our Chapters' web site.
Since becoming a Red Hat chapterette I have enjoyed the sisterhood, shopping, eating, laughing, and getting to know and make new friends. But for me I am sure it is dressing for each occasion and of course “accessorizing” that is the most FUN. As one Red Hat Chapter exclaims “Accessorize, Accessorize, Accessorize.” I truly believe that accessories make the outfit and I am sure you would agree. We change our accessories to change our mood. We can either dress up an outfit or make it FUN for playing with the girls. Because that is what we do when we get together, we PLAY!!
I know you love to shop as much as I do and you have many items you no longer can use or wear. There is nothing wrong with them but you have other things you now like better. Or some of these things you won or were given as gifts. What do you do with this extra stuff? Wouldn’t it be great if there was one store you could go to that had everybody’s left over stuff? I don’t know about you but sometimes it has been a difficult search to even find Red Hat Accessories. So here, now, I have for you the beginning of the “left over stuff”.
Actually many of my items are brand new. Sometimes previously owned does not necessarily mean used. My dream is to have a brick and mortar Red Hat Consignment Shop one day, because I can imagine that one Red Hat Shop with everyone one’s cool “left overs”. But I thought I would start small and offer Accessories for now.
One of the things I would like to be known for in the future is to be the place to come for Vintage Red, Purple, Pink or Lavender Hats. You can help me with that. When you are out shopping or even visiting yard sales, look for vintage hats. They don’t have to be your style, just a great buy and look fabulous. We can put them up for sale here and both make a few dollars. Vintage items do not need to be in perfect condition but do need to be in a wearable condition, or have some simple thing missing or that can be fixed easily. So the challenge is on. What can you find?
For now, I hope my chapterette sisters and I have given you plenty of unique items to accessorize your Red or Pink Hat wardrobe. My shop is also the place for FUN items for yourself, to give as gifts, or to share with other Red Hat sisters. I look forward to getting to know you and doing business with you.
Until we meet again,
Saga Jane
