What is Consignment?
Consignment means allowing someone else to sell your goods for a percent of the sale. Some things are new, while others are gently used – and everything is unique, generally one of a kind. See the Consignment Agreement for complete details.
Where does the merchandise come from?
Most of the items come from ladies like you. Red or Pink Hatters that have accessories you no longer use and would like to make a few dollars for them. The Red Hat Consignment Shop can help you make a few dollars on those unused gifts or other accessories you no longer wear. And you can help me by consigning some of your accessories or unused gifts. Also, I want to promote artists so many of the products are Handmade by them especially for you.
Are all of the products used?
No, many of the products are NEW, only taken out of the original packaging to take the picture. Consignment is all about previously owned items but sometimes a customer or myself find great bargains on new items and buy them to resell. Or someone received a gift that was not them and needs an outlet to sell the item. I always mark the items that are NEW.
Also I am promoting artists so all of their items are hand made just for your enjoyment. I always mark these items as Handmade.
How do I consign items?
If you have accessories appropriate to a Red or Pink Hatter and want to sell them give me a call or send me an email and we can discuss consigning your items and the terms. You can also see the Consignment Agreement for complete details.
How much money will I receive if I consign merchandise?
You will get 40% of the amount the item is sold for by the Red Hat Consignment Shop. See the Consignment Agreement for complete details.
What happens if my items are not sold?
The disposal of your unsold items is up to you. There are several options; the items are returned to you, the items are put on sale or the items are given to needy ladies. See the Consignment Agreement for complete details.
Can I get in store credit for my consignment items instead of cash?
Yes, if you would like to have the amount you have earned from sales of your consigned items applied to your “account” you can then shop using your credit instead of actual cash.
Do you have a physical store I can visit?
No I do not have an actual store but if you live in the Tampa Bay area of Florida I am willing to bring my products to one of your Chapter get-togethers so everyone would have an opportunity to see the merchandise 1st hand and save money on shipping.
How do I make a purchase if I do not have a Credit Card?
If you do not wish to give out your information over the internet or you do not have a credit card, the Red Hat Consignment Shop will accept phone or mail orders and you can pay by check or money order.
